Oologah Wedding
Oologah is a town in Rogers County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 883 at the 2000 census. In 1991 a devastating tornado destroyed the north side of Oologah, including the town's public school. Renowned humorist Will Rogers was born on a ranch two miles east of Oologah.
The name Oologah probably comes from the Cherokee word meaning "dark cloud." Oologah is located at 362636N, 954234W (36.443268, -95.709399)GR1.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 883 people, 342 households, and 258 families residing in the town. The population density was 401.1/km (1,039.5/mi). The racial makeup of the town was 71.12% White, 0.11% African American, 13.36% Native American, 0.11% from other races, and 15.29% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.02% of the population.
